Let it snow - red and white!

I had great fun making my own snowy paper today. I really need more practise stamping with REAL stamps! I'm afraid I have no idea where the word art is from. If anyone knows where it is from, please let me know, so I can give the proper credit.

It is time for the first October challenge from Designed2Delight digital stamps. The image 'Two apples' was really great to colour.

Then I read the challenge over at DoubleDelight and my heart sank - use border punches. I only have one and of snowflakes!!! Help! So I hope my inventive use of an oval punch will be acceptable. :)

The sentiment is just typed up in MS-Word on the computer.

The paper is from the Season your Holidays club on Create with TLC. Paulette offers lots of fun wordt art and vintage digi freebies. Its well worth having a look at her blog and store.

I decided to go for the no frills sketch this week because I needed a card for a male friend. I have had this really cool Tigers Eyes digi stamp from Stamp-n-Doodle printed out for a while. And I hauled out some wallpaper samples for my papers this week. I like the texture that they give to this card.
