Delightful Inspiration Challenge Sept - Week 4

This lovely flower image was part of this weeks freebie pack from Designed2Delight digital stamps. The challenge was to use one or more of the images. I decided to try a little stamping and distressing on this card. I think it turned out pretty well for a first attempt.

Christmas Penguin and a top tip

First the tip.. Did you know that the inside of long life cartons were silver? I cut off the top and bottom of the carton, cut it down the seam and then give the resulting sheet a good wash.

The paper is quite stiff but is great for die cuts like the snowflakes in this card.

The cute penguin is a freebie from Beccy's Place.

Simple Anniversary

I am visiting friends this afternoon and I've just discovered that it was their wedding anniversary yesterday. Luckily, I had this cute little Meljen image Garden Bird House printed and ready for colouring. I had it in mind for a new home card but I think the pink and blue 'love birds' work quite well for an anniversary card.

I've made it simple for speed so I would like to enter it in the Daisy Doodles Challenge #17 - Keep it Simple

Meljen's Designs Challenge #25 Blooming recipe

Here is my entry for the Meljen's Designs challenge this week. The recipe was 1 ribbon, two flowers and 3 brads. I made my flowers using the new button daisy digi that I chose as part of my prize last week. :) I coloured them with watercolours and layered them. And I finally found a way to use the funny blue heart brads that I have had for ages!
